When you receive the Seal you will see the sign of global warming as the approaching end-times. So you will not be surprised to see a new study show ethanol use will actually increase global warming.
The date is Thursday February 7 2008 and a new study is out showing what past studies have failed to consider: changes in land use for growing ethanol will make global warming worse.
Just a few months before this president Bush signed into law an energy bill calling for increasing ethanol use (as a fuel) 6 times by the year 2022. The purpose was to reduce dependence on foreign oil.
While such measures may reduce dependence on fossil fuels they are no better for the environment and now are shown to be actually worse for the environment, increasing instead of reducing greenhouse gases.
Previous studies said greenhouse gases would be reduced by 20 percent by using more ethanol as a fuel. This study shows using ethanol will increase greenhouse gases by 93 percent when compared to using gasoline for 30 years.
Ethanol can be produced from switchgrass as studies have recently shown. But this is likely to give an incentive to people to cut down more rainforests to make room for more cropland.
And the rainforest stores much more carbon than fields full of switchgrass. The switchgrass growth would even absorb less carbon than other kinds of cropland, both less than the rainforest.
Greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide are polluting the air in ever-increasing amounts. They are blamed for causing global-warming and heating the earth like a greenhouse traps in heat of the sun but does not let it escape.
Vast tracts of rainforest currently absorb a lot of the carbon dioxide that is polluting the air since the vegetation breathes it in to grow. But when forests are cleared to make way for switchgrass, a lot less of the carbon dioxide in the air will be absorbed.
These scientists who agree global warming is threatening the viability of life on earth are not alone in their dire predictions. Jesus predicted the end-times Himself, and His Predictions agree with what science is discovering.
Jesus taught the simple parable of the fig tree. When the fig tree blossoms, you know that summer is approaching. That "summer" is the season of the end-times according to Jesus.
And sure enough, scientists all over the world agree the end of the world is coming and is literally a summer. Global warming is turning spring, fall, and winter into summer. The fig tree is blossoming and summer is approaching.
This was the prediction of Jesus. But it is not only a prediction today. Today it has already started happening. Temperatures worldwide have climbed steadily for 20 years and natural disasters are on the rise.
Natural disasters caused by the imbalance in nature include floods and droughts, and wildfires and more severe windstorms. More of these disasters have been happening than ever before recorded in history.
When you are sealed you will see the sign of the end-times in global warming. And you will prepare yourself to meet God. You will have no more home on earth but eternal Life in Heaven when you receive the Seal.
