If you ever find yourself faced with a situation that seems impossible, I want you to remember this story from the bible.
Do you remember the story of the Fig Tree?
Well, if you don't remember let me give you a brief summary of the story. Jesus was walking with his disciples back to the city one early morning and Jesus was hungry. As they were walking they passed a fig tree by the side of the road. Jesus went to the fig tree to get some fruit but there wasn't any fruit-only leaves.
I guess he must have been really hungry cause he got a little angry because there wasn't any fruit on the fig tree. In fact, he got so angry that he cursed the fig tree. He said, "May you never bear fruit again!" and when he said this, the tree immediately withered away.
Now, imagine for a second that you are one of those disciples walking with Jesus and saw him say WORDS with his mouth that caused the fig tree to wither away. I don't know about you, but it would probably have freaked me out a bit.
Anyway, they were a bit baffled and asked Jesus "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?"
And what Jesus said after this is what I want you to really pay attention to. This is KEY to helping YOU achieving whatever it is you desire so pay close attention.
Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, if you HAVE FAITH and DO NOT DOUBT, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, "Go throw yourself into the sea," and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.
Now, I don't know about you, but I have a hard time believing that I could tell a mountain to go and throw itself into the sea and think it will actually uproot itself out of the dirt and walk over to the sea and then plop down in it. But it is because of my doubt that this will never happen in my life. I also have a hard time believing that I could walk over to a tree and tell it that it will never bear fruit again and think something is going to happen. And, once again, because of my DOUBT this will never happen for me.
But what about you? What can you believe? Can you believe that your financial situation can turn around quickly and allow you to go from broke to financially free? Can you believe that you can make a living by discovering your talents and abilities and applying them to your life to serve others? Can you believe that your relationship can be the better than ever? Can you believe that you can find a career that you can get excited about?
Whatever you BELIEVE and trust God for you will receive. It doesn't matter how big your problem or situation may appear, if you ask God for his help and believe that he will supply it, than the situation is already taken care of.
ACTION: Think of something that you have been struggling with and ask God to bring about the desired result that you want. Than simply BELIEVE that you have what you desire. If you TRULY believe it and DO NOT DOUBT, you will receive it. He keeps his promises.
